Can vitamin C irritate my skin?

While there is a lot of chemistry involved when formulating a vitamin C serum, we use ethyl ascorbate acid, known as the next-generation vitamin C. It is a highly stable, non-irritating, patented derivative.

Can I use retinol if I have sensitive skin?

Dr. Karam made it his mission to incorporate a moderated dose of active retinol in his hero product, Illuminate, to ensure that all skin types could reap the multitude of benefits without concerns of irritation. Along with aloe and encapsulated hyaluronic acid, Illuminate boasts a patented lipid complex blend that aids in soothing and hydrating the skin.

What is the percentage of Vitamin C in Quench?

Quench is not a standard Vitamin C Serum, it is a combination of 3 different formulations of Vitamin C and other supporting ingredients designed to increase the effectiveness of the product over standard Vitamin C formulations yet be well tolerated by all skin types, even sensitive skin.  Each category of product has its own unique percentage and therefore we can give you a standard concentration comparison that you are used to seeing.  Quench is designed to decrease skin discoloration and hyperpigmentation by decreasing melanocytes activity; increase collagen type 1 production resulting in reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and improved skin smoothness.  This is a unique formulation designed for KaramMD.

What’s the concentration (or how much) of Retinol in Illuminate?

The retinol in Illuminate was never meant as a stand alone ingredient,  it is just one of over a dozen active ingredients used for brightening and improving uneven skin tone.  The Illuminate was formulated to address various signs of aging skin - dryness, uneven skin tone, firmness, decrease the appearance of lines, wrinkles, smooth texture, brightening and radiance. The formula is a cutting edge product that produces results but has to be tolerated for all skin types and textures even for sensitive skin; therefore the concentration of the retinol has had to be carefully modulated to meet these specifications.  The retinol comes in a form of a patented complex designed to maximize absorption and efficacy.  

Use of full strength retinols and Retin-A cuts the pool of participants significantly as most people can’t tolerate it therefore they stop using it.  In this case, even at low doses, it is still creating positive anti-aging effects specifically because it is tolerated and people use it 2x a day for time.  

For those who want the extra retinol or are already using it, you can use it in conjunction with Illuminate.  You would apply it after Rinse.

Do I need different products for morning and night?

We believe that cleansing & moisturizing properly are all that is needed to protect your skin from external stressors. The ingredient deck in all 3 products has been strategically designed to benefit you both am & pm with no need to switch, add or omit products.

How frequently should I be using the Karam Trifecta?

All products should be used twice a day, every day.

How long does the Trifecta last?

The Trifecta should last you 30 days across all products if using them twice a day.

Do I need to use sunscreen with KaramMD?

Yes! Sunscreen should be part of any routine so we added our favorite right here.

How long does it take skincare to work?

It takes 28-days for skin cells to turn over, which means in order to see a difference in your skin from KaramMD products, you need to use them consistently for at least a month.

Can skin get too acclimated to certain products, making them less effective?

No. The active ingredients in our products won't change in any way or stop giving you results.

How do I activate my account?

Once you’ve placed an order and your email is in our database, it still needs to be activated. 

To activate your account, go to and click on the human icon in the upper right corner and enter your name, email and chosen password. From there click on “Create Account” and you will receive an email right after to continue with the registration process. 

How do I login to my account?

To access your subscription, login to your customer account at Click on the human icon in the upper right corner, enter your email address and password and click “Sign in.”  If you have not activated your account, you will need to create an account using the same email address used at checkout.

Once your account is activated, you can log into your account and click on the “Manage Subscriptions” link to view or edit your subscription. 

You can also access your account using a customer portal magic link. This magic link is sent in the Subscription Confirmation email when you begin a subscription and in the Upcoming Order email. 

How do I use passwordless login?

Quickly access your customer portal with no password required using a 4-digit code sent to your phone or email.

Note: Sending the passwordless login 4-digit authentication code via SMS is only compatible for phone numbers from the United States and Canada. International phone numbers will receive the 4-digit code through email only.

Follow the steps below to sign with your 4-digit code:

Click on the human icon on Click on “Manage Subscriptions.” Enter your email address and click the “Send login” code button.

Step 2 - Check your email or text message

A 4-digit authentication code is sent to your email and by text message. This code is valid for four minutes. If the code is not confirmed within that time frame, you must complete Step 1 again to send a new login code

If you only have an email address on your account: You will only receive the 4-digit authentication code via email.

If you have a valid phone number and email address on your account: You will receive the 4-digit authentication code through email and SMS.

Step 3 - Enter the 4-digit code into the passwordless login screen and you will be redirected to your customer account. 

If you did not receive your 4-digit code via email or SMS, try these troubleshooting steps:

Check your email spam folder.

Try refreshing the passwordless login page and re-enter your email address to receive a new code.

If you have exceeded five failed login attempts, refresh your web browser to help reset the login attempts. This requires you to re-enter your email address and obtain a new 4-digit code to try again.

How do I update my billing information or email address?

Login to your customer account on and click on “Manage Subscriptions.” Click on your subscription and select the “Payment Method” section. 

Click the “Edit" button and then “Send update email.” Follow the instructions sent via email to change your method of payment or update your billing information. 

How do I update my payment information?

Login to your customer account on and click on “Manage Subscriptions.” Click on the “Payment Method” section. Click the “Edit" button and then “Send update email.” Follow the instructions sent via email to change your method of payment or update your billing information.

How do I update my shipping address?

Login to your account on and click on “Manage Subscription.” Select the “Shipping Address" section. From here you can edit your current shipping address or add a new one. Be sure to click “Save shipping address” once you’ve entered the required information. 

Note: This only affects the shipping/delivery address, this does not update billing information related to the method of payment.

How do I skip a delivery?

Log in to your account on and click “Manage Subscriptions.” Select the “Delivery Schedule" and skip the desired shipment.

How do I edit my next order date?

Log in to your account and click “Manage Subscriptions.” Click on the “Manage Subscription” and then “Next charge date.”  Select the desired shipment date and click “Update next shipment date.”

How do I add a one-time product to my subscription?

Log in to your account and click “Manage Subscriptions.” Click on “Manage Subscription.” From here you can choose from the available products and add them to your subscription as a One-time add-on or as a permanent subscription item.

How do I manage or delete a one-time subscription product?

Log in to your account and click “Manage Subscriptions.” Click on “Manage Subscription.”Click the “Delivery Schedule” tab and select “Manage add-on.” Scroll down and click “Delete item.”

How do I swap a product in my subscription?

Log in to your account and click “Manage Subscriptions.” Click on “Manage Subscription.” Click on the “Product" tab and update the quantity or click “Swap Product” and select the item you would like to swap your current product for.

How do I add a discount to my subscription?

Log in to your account and click “Manage Subscriptions.” Click on “Manage Subscription.” Scroll down to apply for a discount located just under your phone number information. Enter the valid discount code into the box and click “Add discount.”

How do I pause my subscription?

Login to your account and click “Manage subscriptions.”Click on “Manage Subscription.” Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Cancel Subscription.” On the "Would you like to pause instead?" pop-up, select the amount of time you would like to pause your subscription.  Take note of the next shipment date, which will reflect the pause duration. Click “Pause Subscription.”

If you would like to reactivate your subscription before the next shipment date, locate the paused subscription on the “Subscriptions” page of the customer portal and click “Order now.”

How do I cancel my subscription?

Login to your account and click “Manage subscriptions.”Click on “Manage Subscription” and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Cancel Subscription”  Provide a cancellation reason and confirm the cancellation by clicking “Proceed.”

How do I reactivate my subscription?

Login to your account and click on “Manage subscriptions.” Click on your subscriptions and 

Click “Re-activate” and confirm. 

Note: If the subscription is expired it cannot be reactivated. In this case, checkout on the store with a fresh subscription for that item. 

Can I get KaramMD internationally?

Yes! Karam MD ships internationally. Once you input your address, you will see the shipping fee for where you currently reside. KaramMD is not responsible for any duties or delays with customs, so please review your tracking information and contact your local customs office if there is an issue with delivery.

How long will it take for my order to ship?

All orders are processed and prepared to ship within 1-3 business days. Estimated delivery time-frame paid for at checkout starts once your order has been prepared for shipment.
