What do you recommend if vertical restore not in your budget for neck laxity? 65 years old. Could you have a mini neck lift it sagging and laxity not too bad?

Hi Annette—thanks for your comment! If a Vertical Restore isn’t in your budget, it’s important to be realistic about alternatives. Non-surgical treatments can help improve skin quality, but they won’t meaningfully tighten loose skin. A mini neck lift can be an option if laxity is mild to moderate and mainly under the chin, but results are more limited and typically don’t last as long as a more comprehensive procedure which is why Dr. Karam does not generally recommend going that route. If the sagging truly isn’t too advanced, it may be worth a consultation to see if you’re a candidate. However, for more noticeable or lasting improvement, it’s often better to wait and invest in the right procedure rather than layering smaller treatments that won’t fully address the concern.

Are skin booster injections worthwhile,
———
KaramMD Skin replied:
Hi Marion—Thanks for your comment! Skin booster injections can be a nice addition for some people, but it really depends on your individual goals and your current skin condition. We recommend focusing first and foremost on a consistent skincare routine with proven active ingredients and daily sun protection. Those two things make the biggest long-term difference in skin quality, tone, and overall health.

So, is radio frequency microneedling “secret” good, I thought you mentioned it melts good fats in skin. I am confused about this procedure. Have gotten several but heard it melts fat, and was going to discontinue them. Thx, Julia

Hi Julia—Thanks for your question! At Shallow Depths (0.5mm – 2.0mm) Secret RF Microneedling should not cause fat loss, just collagen stimulation and skin tightening. At Deeper Depths (2.5mm – 3.5mm) there is potential for minor fat loss, especially if energy settings are high. To avoid volume loss we suggest you request lower RF energy settings and shallower depths to avoid unwanted fat reduction.
