KaramMD Quench is a vitamin C serum designed to hydrate skin and improve the appearance of dullness and uneven tone. It combines vitamin C with other antioxidants and moisturizing ingredients. Within Trifecta, apply Quench after Rinse and before Illuminate.
What does Quench do for the skin?
Quench helps hydrate skin and improve the look of dullness and uneven tone. Its vitamin C and complementary antioxidants provide antioxidant support. Quench does not provide sun protection and should be followed by the rest of your skincare and sunscreen in the morning.
Does Quench contain vitamin C?
Yes. Quench contains three stable forms of vitamin C: magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, aminopropyl ascorbyl phosphate, and tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate. The formula also includes hydrators and other antioxidants. Check the ingredient list on your product packaging for the formula supplied to you.
What percentage of vitamin C is in Quench?
KaramMD does not disclose the exact percentages of Quench’s three vitamin C forms because the formulation is proprietary. Concentration is one part of a formula; the vitamin C form and the overall formulation also matter. A percentage alone does not establish how two products compare.
Is Quench a vitamin C serum?

Can I use Quench with retinol?
Yes. Quench was designed to be followed by retinol-containing Illuminate in the KaramMD Trifecta routine. If you use another retinol product or a prescription retinoid, follow that product’s directions and your dermatologist’s advice. Introduce combinations gradually if your skin is sensitive.
Can Quench replace my moisturizer?
Quench is a hydrating serum, rather than the final moisturizing step in Trifecta. Apply Illuminate after Quench when using the system. Add Enrich if you need more moisture. If you use Quench separately, follow it with a moisturizer suited to your skin.
How often should I use Quench and can I use it at night?
Quench is intended for morning and evening use. Apply it to clean skin after Rinse and before Illuminate when using Trifecta. Vitamin C is not limited to morning use, but it does not replace daily sunscreen.
Can I use Quench without the complete Trifecta?
Yes. You can add Quench as the vitamin C serum step in an existing skincare routine. Apply it after cleansing and before your moisturizer. If you use multiple treatments, review the combination and adjust it to your skin’s tolerance.
