How To Use
Use 2-3 times a week on freshly cleansed skin. Dispense 5-6 shakes of powder onto the palm, then add a few drops of water to activate. Massage onto face, avoiding eye area. Leave for 3-5 minutes. Rinse clean.

I had such high hopes and was excited that indeed, when my top layer of skin quickly started peeling off so I could slough it away. But, to my dismay, it won't stop peeling! It's been 2 weeks since I last used it (yes I follow directions) and my facial skin is still peeling! It's annoying now because I can gently remove the flaking skin in the mornings but the oeels are back by lunchtime when I'm not at home to be able to properly fix it.

If you're experiencing ongoing peeling, we'd recommend dialing back your usage for now to give your skin time to settle, and using Polish less often once things calm down. It can also help to keep your skin well moisturized in the meantime, and our Enrich Breathable Barrier Balm is a great option for supporting your skin barrier. Using gentle motions when cleansing and avoiding picking at the flaking skin can also help your skin recover more comfortably. KaramMD Polish is a water-activated exfoliating powder that combines fruit enzymes with fine powders to help remove dead surface skin cells. It is designed to improve the appearance of roughness and dullness and is an optional addition to the daily Trifecta routine.
Why exfoliate aging skin?
Exfoliation helps remove accumulated dead surface cells that can make skin look dull or feel rough. Frequency should depend on your skin’s tolerance and other treatments. Polish is an optional step; daily exfoliation is not necessary for every routine.
How is Polish different from a traditional face scrub?
Polish combines papain and bromelain enzymes with fine powders that provide a gentle buffing action. It therefore has both enzymatic and physical exfoliating components. Add water as directed and massage lightly; vigorous scrubbing is unnecessary.
How often should I use Polish?
KaramMD’s directions recommend Polish two to three times per week. If you are new to exfoliation or have sensitive skin, start less often and increase only if comfortable. Reduce frequency or stop if dryness, stinging, or redness develops.
Can I use Polish with retinol or Trifecta?
Polish is designed to complement Trifecta, which includes retinol-containing Illuminate. Because combining exfoliation and retinol can increase irritation, begin conservatively and adjust to your skin’s response. If you use a prescription retinoid, ask your dermatologist how to schedule exfoliation.
Is Polish suitable for sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin may react to exfoliation, including enzymes or fine powders. Review the ingredient list and begin less frequently than the standard directions. Avoid irritated or broken skin. Ask a dermatologist before exfoliating if you have a diagnosed skin condition or frequent reactions.
How do I use Polish?
After cleansing, dispense five to six shakes of powder into your palm and add a few drops of water. Gently massage onto your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for three to five minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Follow the current product label and use less frequently if needed.
