Your Daily Skincare Foundation Comes First
Before you schedule any procedures before a big event, make sure your daily skincare routine is consistent. Without it, even the best treatments likely won’t reach their full potential.
Consistent skincare builds healthier, more resilient skin—and keeps vibrancy high—between refinements. It’s also what allows your treatment results to last longer and look better.
Your essential skincare lineup should include:
- Gentle cleanser
- Vitamin C serum
- Retinol
- Niacinamide
- Peptides
- Hyaluronic acid
- Botanical brighteners
- Lipids
- SPF
That’s exactly why I created the KaramMD Trifecta.
This three-step system—Rinse, Quench, and Illuminate—contains all the clinically proven actives Tonia mentioned above, delivered in a straightforward, easy routine. It takes just two minutes morning and night, yet builds the strong foundation every treatment truly relies on.
Once your skin is supported daily, you’re ready to plan your non-surgical procedure timeline:

Hi Dr Karam,
How often can I go for microneedling?
I am 67 and am chicken hearted about having Botox and or fillers after reading all the possible things that can go wrong.
I wish I lived in the US, I would definitely arrange a consult with you as to my best approach. Have subscribed to Trifecta and am excited to see the results
Thank you for all you do for us ladies out there🙏🙏
Best Regards,
Jean

Hi Jean—Thank you for your question! At 67, microneedling can be a wonderful tool for stimulating collagen and improving skin texture, but your skin does need adequate time to heal and rebuild between sessions. Most dermatologists recommend waiting 4 to 6 weeks between treatments, which means most people do about 3 to 4 sessions per year. That said, the ideal frequency really depends on your skin’s individual response and your specific concerns, so I’d encourage you to work closely with a board-certified dermatologist or licensed provider who can tailor a plan just for you. If you’re using the Trifecta twice daily, you might even find you won’t need additional treatments after a while.
