How to Take Care of Your Skin in Your 20s

I am often asked the question: I’m in my 20s. What can I do to stay looking young and be proactive with the anti-aging process? To be honest, there’s hardly anything you need to do to keep your skin looking youthful in your 20s. The main thing is to take care of your skin. Let's break down what exactly taking care of your skin looks like.

STAY OUT OF THE SUN

Aside from smoking, sun exposure is the most significant aging accelerator that exists. Over time, too much sun exposure will be the difference between beautiful, luminous skin or dull, heavy, aged-looking skin as you get older.

ENJOY YOUR 20S AND DON’T STRESS

Skip the stress about whether you’re looking and staying young and simply enjoy this time in your life when your skin is elastic and has a natural, youthful radiance. There’s no need for fillers, BOTOX, threads, RF microneedling and similar treatments during your 20s. The time will come when you may have to use these types of treatments. While you’re in your 20s, you don’t have to worry about having these done because your skin doesn’t need them yet. Just enjoy these years of your life (but avoid drinking too much alcohol or smoking, as these both age your skin quickly)!

FOLLOW A GOOD, ANTI-AGING SKINCARE ROUTINE

Get going on a good, anti-aging skincare regimen with products that include the right ingredients for maintaining healthy, beautiful skin, such as Vitamin C, Retinol, and others. The key with a good skincare routine is that you get the right ingredients onto your skin consistently, every day.

What are the best skincare ingredients to maintain youthful skin?

During your 20s (and beyond), get these ingredients on your face daily. Each ingredient ensures your skin stays luminous and fresh, preventing the signs of age, including dull-looking skin, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and others.

Stay youthful with skincare products that include the following ingredients:

RETINOL

  • Boosts cell turnover and stimulates collagen production

VITAMIN C

  • Maintains a youthful glow
  • Stimulates collagen production

  • Acts as an antioxidant

HYALURONIC ACID SERUM & LIPIDS

  • Improve and softens the skin texture
  • Locks moisture into the skin
  • Balances oily or dry skin

NIACINIMIDE

GROWTH FACTORS

  • Maintain supple, firm skin

  • Maintains the extracellular matrix proteins (a network of proteins and molecules that support the structure of cells and tissues)

Skincare products with everything you need

I created the Trifecta skincare regimen because there just wasn’t a skincare line that already existed that included all of these and was also simple and easy enough to be consistent with every day. Consistency is key when it comes to keeping the skin fresh and youthful for the long term. My skincare line includes each of these ingredients and more, formulated into three easy-to-use products.
