While traditional slugging has its benefits, it also has significant drawbacks that can make you question whether it is worthwhile or not.
Enrich Breathable Barrier Balm is modern solution to slugging. It combines the overnight transformation of deep hydration with the long-lasting benefits of anti-aging ingredients and antioxidants that traditional products currently lack.
It’s a product I’m really proud of. I’ve seen work wonders from everyday anti-aging, to assisting in my office when it comes to post-treatment and post-operative care. It is gentle, but packed with powerful ingredients, and is the ultimate hydrator: nourishing and rich, but lightweight and emollient. The dewey glow it brings to everyone who uses it is undeniable.
Slugging is a highly beneficial step to include in your evening skincare routine. It not only helps with hydration, but also enhances your skincare routine by creating a protective barrier that seals in your active ingredients. This prevents product evaporation, allowing ingredients to penetrate deeper and work more effectively. This makes Enrich a perfect cherry on top of the Trifecta skincare system.
Enrich is more than just a moisturizer; it’s a multi-purpose balm that offers unparalleled skin barrier benefits, making it an essential addition to any skincare routine.
Whether you’re looking to heal, protect, or rejuvenate your skin, Enrich is the skincare ally you need.
So, why settle for a product that just sits on your skin when you can have one that truly makes a difference? Try Enrich Breathable Barrier Balm and experience the transformation for yourself.

I have been using the Trifecta for a year & love it. I also use Enrich nightly & love the feeling on my skin!
My question is: I am scheduled for a fully ablative Erbium laser on my face & neck in a couple of weeks.
I believe I need to stop using the Trifecta for a couple of weeks following my procedure But can I use Enrich in place of Vaseline/aquaphor ? OR does it have actives in it that should not be used initially on my treated areas???
Thank you

Hi Sherry—Thanks for your comment! You’re correct that after a fully ablative Erbium laser, it’s important to pause certain active products like the Trifecta and Enrich to allow proper healing. Always follow your laser provider’s specific post-care instructions. They know your skin and treatment depth best. Wishing you a smooth recovery!

I was playing in a Pickelball tournament in the Sacramento area and after the match was over both ladies asked me how old I was since I was playing in the over 60 age group. After my response of 73 they asked what do I use on my face. Of course I shared and they immediately wrote down the program. Kudo’s to Dr Karam. I know I’ve aged well but they specifically said your skin is incredible!

I have been using the Karam skin care for about half a year now and I really like it. There is a lot of buzz right now about estriol cream for the face for wrinkles.
Do you recommend adding this to my Karam routine for my mature skin.

Hi Rachel—Thanks for your comment! Hormone-based products are a personal decision and should always be discussed with a qualified medical professional who knows your health history. We’re glad you’re enjoying your routine and appreciate you taking such a mindful approach to your skin care.

I now understand to wait 10 minutes after trifecta for the enrich.
Question- how long to wait between each the other trifecta products ?

KaramMD Skin replied:
Hi Hope—Thanks for your comment! There is really no need to wait between steps. After the rinse, you can pat your face dry, but leaving your face a little damp does help to spread the Quench serum. The Quench will absorb quickly, but there is no need to wait for it to fully dry to apply the Illuminate. Here is an article from Dr. Karam’s blog that you may find useful:

Have been using the trifecta- love it
Have ordered another set.
Wanted to try the enrich also because of environmental factors – winter drying
Ordered – but only applied once- because cannot stand the strong smell
I am very sensitive to smells has to be light or no smell – or get a bad headache…
I have bought expensive creams in the past online but couldn’t use because of
The smell.
Can you please consider making the smell of enrich more neutral or light pls
Love the light smell of the rinse cleanser…

Hi Norma—Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the scent of the Enrich. We truly value your feedback and want to provide some insight into our formulation. Each ingredient in this balm has been carefully selected to serve a specific purpose, whether it’s to nourish, protect, or enhance the skin. The scent you’re noticing comes from natural ingredients such as Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang Flower Oil, Sweet-Scented Geranium Flower Oil, and Patchouli Oil. These botanical extracts are not added for fragrance alone but are included for their beneficial properties, such as soothing the skin and providing antioxidant support.
We understand that scent preferences can vary and will certainly consider your feedback, but we hope this helps you appreciate the role these natural ingredients play in delivering the overall benefits of the product. If there’s anything else we can assist you with or if you’d like guidance on your skincare routine, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
